Welcome!
My name is Dina Klimkina and I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Kentucky Department of Political Science. My major field is Comparative Politics with a minor in American Politics. I am interested in understanding political participation and representation of minorities across the United States and abroad. Specifically, I have focused on how structures of political institutions affect indigenous populations in the United States and Latin America.
I am also working on projects regarding indigenous women's representation, media framing of political brawling, and indigenous political institutions.
